Our Journey

Read on for Amanda's journey creating Baby Presents.

Baby Presents Online Was Born

Baby Presents first begun online in 2012, when time poor and full time worker Amanda was frustrated with the limited baby gift selections available in traditional stores. This frustration sparked the idea that then created Baby Presents online, the one stop shopping experience for busy parents needing to purchase the perfect keepsake baby present.

Our First Market Stall

In 2015 Baby Presents attented their first ever market stall at the Picadilly Market Geelong. This was also the year that we launched our first gift hampers using our signature white keepsake suitcases.

Mama Of The Month & PANDA

Amanda was overjoyed and so grateful to be featured as Mama of the Month in the December/January edition of MamaMag in Victoria. Baby Presents was also a proud supporter of the Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia PANDA Awareness week and donated 25% of all sales during that week to PANDA.

Baby Presents Takes On Retail

In 2018 Baby Presents took on the retail world, opening up in a brand new store at Stockland Point Cook Shopping Centre. With its fun, polka dot coloured doors and the big friendly smile of Amanda, Baby Presents is a store you are not going to want to miss out on shopping at.

Finalist at the Wyndham Business Awards

In March 2019 Baby Presents applied for the Wyndham Business Awards when the business was only 5 months old. They were then successfully short listed for their first ever entry of the awards. While they did not win, they were very proud to have made it to the top 4 final businesses.

Lockdowns & Covid

During some of the 2020 lockdowns Baby Presents were in hard lockdown and couldn't open. When they did re open and the customers were allowed inside the store they had density limits, QR codes to scan in, Sanitizer stations and had to stay 1.5m apart. Amanda was also home schooling her two kids during these lockdowns. She would do this until 3pm then go instore and pick and pack any orders then drive them around the local area to drop them off contactless at the front doors of the customer. Although this was very time consuming we were grateful for the support and loyalty of our customers.

Now

Fastforward to now, and Baby Presents is back in business with both her online and in store presence being as strong as ever and with new products arriving regularly. While Baby Presents faced many hardships during the lockdowns, there were also a few positives that came out of it. One being that many customers were wanting to support local and small businesses and moved away from large chain stores.
